All membership categories are listed here on the AIA website. Membership dues are calculated annually – January to December. New member dues are pro-rated quarterly.

Professional Development & Education

AIA Taipei supports lifelong learning through curated lectures, workshops, site visits, and educational programs that address current architectural practice, emerging technologies, sustainability, and regulatory updates. Members gain access to continuing education opportunities, including programs eligible for AIA Continuing Education System (CES) credits

Advocacy & Professional Representation

AIA Taipei represents the architectural profession by promoting design excellence, ethical practice, and public awareness of architecture’s role in shaping healthier, more sustainable cities. As part of the AIA network, members stay informed about policy discussions, professional standards, and regulatory developments while having a collective voice in conversations that influence the built environment.

Architect (AIA)

Benefits: AIA National Benefits + Region Benefits + Chapter benefits

Eligibility: Registered architect in the US

Dues: AIA National dues + AIA Region Dues + AIA Chapter dues

Associate (Assoc. AIA)

Benefits: AIA National Benefits + Region Benefits + Chapter benefits

Eligibility: US educated architectural interns/assistant architects. Associate membership is open to individuals who meet one of the following criteria:

Professional degree in architecture; currently work under the supervision of an architect
Currently enrolled in the Intern Development Program (IDP) and working toward licensure
Faculty member in a university program in architecture.
